A Sixty Five year old man charged with Statutory Rape of two juveniles,

He was charged with 4 counts of statutory rape after more than 20 police officers descended upon his business to execute a search warrant.  THe police ignored his denials and the fact that no physical evidence was discovered.  After Trial preparation and the Testimony of the Juveniles, Bret M. Rich brought out in cross-examination problems with the juveniles stories and the improprieties of the police investigation.  The Jury returned verdicts of NOT GUILTY on all counts.

A Twenty year old man charged with Robbery of a convenience store,

He was charged with the Robbery of a convenience store after being found at a house with several other young men with property taken in the Robbery.  The police claimed he confessed even though they did not have a written or recorded statement. His co=defendant plead guilty the week before trial and was sentenced to 25 years. During the trial, Bret M. Rich, caught the two key detectives in conflicting versions.  The cross-examination quickly revealed that both officers could not be correct.  The defendant was able to testify without being contradicted.  The Jury returned a verdict of NOT GUILTY on all counts.   

A sixteen year old male charged with Rape,

He was charged with rape after the girl he was with could not account for her whereabouts to her parents.  This serious charge would have caused him to have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.  After investigation and depositions by Bret M. Rich, the accuser changed her story and gave a statement that conflicted with the original report.  This resulted in the Prosecutor dismissing all charges against the client. 

A Man in his twenties charged with Felony Assault,

He was charged with assaulting his girlfriend's ex-husband during an altercation while exchanging custody of the girlfriend's child.  The case proceeded to trial.  The accuser, during cross-examination by Bret M. Rich, gave testimony that was conflicting with his earlier statements, and testified to things that were proven could not have happened.  The Jury returned a verdict of NOT GUILTY.
